Actros in Guinness Book of Records
The New Actros has officially entered the Guinness Book of records as the world's most fuel efficient, series-production 40 tonne truck.
After an extended test drive of 12,782 kilometres at the Nardo proving ground in southern Italy, the New Actros achieved 19.44 litres per 100 kilometres - 14.53 miles to the gallon. The truck also demonstrated minimal CO2 emissions of 20.5 grammes per tonne/kilometre. The record-breaking, seven-day, round-the-clock test drive used a standard production Actros 1844LS BlueTec 5 which is available to any customer 'off-the-shelf'.
